This Urban Revolution seeks to build a community of practitioners, activists, thinkers, public authorities, companies and international networks from across the world united in a shared quest for urban innovation. We hope this can become a powerful and influential movement for change, which inspires cities to do things differently. 

This platform is promoted by Bilbao Metropoli 30, with whom Charles has a 15 year relationship and who is senior advisor and co-curator. Its aim is to raise awareness of the urgency for change; to encourage new solutions, to share these from one city to another. The Bay Awards every two years rewards those disruptive and pioneering good urban practices and projects so they can form part of a shared learning process.

The Award categories are: Horizon Shaper, Partners in Progress, SDG Champion, Prosperity Catalyst, the Bay Urban Pioneer.
